CONTEST RULES
ELIGIBILITY: The "MORE THAN A DAY 4/20" ("Contest") is open to individuals who are at least 21 years of age or older and who have Internet access prior to the Contest start date ("Contestants" or "you"). This Contest is only open to those residing in the states of Alabama (AL), Arizona (AZ), Arkansas (AR), California (CA), District of Columbia (DC), Delaware (DE), Florida (FL), Georgia (GA), Hawaii (HI), Illinois (IL), Indiana (IN), Kentucky (KY), Maine (ME), Maryland (MD), Michigan (MI), Minnesota (MN), Mississippi (MS), Missouri (MO), Nebraska (NE), Nevada (NV), New Hampshire (NH), New Jersey (NJ), New Mexico (NM), North Carolina (NC), Ohio (OH), Oklahoma (OK), Oregon (OR), Pennsylvania (PA), Puerto Rico (PR), Rhode Island (RI), South Carolina (SC), South Dakota (SD), Tennessee (TN), Texas (TX), Virginia (VA), West Virginia (WV), Wisconsin (WI), and Wyoming (WY). This Contest is sponsored by 1906 ("Sponsor," "1906," or "we"). Employees, officers, directors, agents, and representatives of the Sponsor, the legal, promotion, and advertising agencies of any aforementioned entity, and their immediate family members (defined as spouse, mother, father, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, grandparents, and in-laws, regardless of where they live) and those living in their household (whether or not related), and each person or entity connected with the production or administration of the Contest, and each parent company, affiliate, subsidiary, agent and representative of any aforementioned entity are not eligible. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Void wherever restricted or prohibited by law.
CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest Period for the "MORE THAN A DAY 4/20" begins on April 20, 2024, at 12:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST), and ends on May 25, 2024, at 12:00 AM EST (the "Contest Period"). ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED DURING THE CONTEST PERIOD. By participating, Contestants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges and/or Sponsor, which are binding and final on matters relating to this Contest.
HOW TO ENTER: Contestants can enter the "MORE THAN A DAY 4/20" contest by submitting a video on Tribute.co using the following link: https://www.tribute.co/1906/. Videos must be at least 30 seconds in length and no longer than 90 seconds and can be based on any of the following prompts:
- Review a 1906 Drop.
- Have a 1906 session with friends and document the experience (make sure you obtain your friends’ permission to make the video and let them know that the video will be used publicly on multiple media formats by 1906).
- Discuss how you mix different 1906 Drops.
- Take a Drop before an experience and document it.
- Film a daily vlog featuring 1906.
- Create a commercial for 1906.
- Always use 1906 Drops in accordance with the label instructions. Do not exceed the recommended consumption amount.
Content Guidelines:
- Videos must be unique to the individual and should not be created with AI.
- Only videos are accepted. No other forms of media will be considered.
- Do not include other brands in your videos; only document your experiences with 1906 products.
Ownership and Marketing Use: By submitting your video, you grant us the perpetual, royalty-free non-exclusive right to use it in any marketing-related activities, and you acknowledge that we own the video after submission.
Judging Criteria: We will select a winner based on:
- Uniqueness of the video (20%)
- Creativity (30%)
- How well the video showcases the experience with 1906 (50%)
In the event of a tie, creativity will be given double weight.
PRIZE: One Year Long Subscription for two tins of 1906 per month ($960 value) will be awarded, one to each of the top Selected Contestants.
Grand Prize: One Year Long Subscription for two tins of 1906 per month
Total Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $960
Selected Contestant is not entitled to any surplus between actual retail value of prize and stated ARV and any difference between stated ARV and actual value of the prize will not be awarded. No substitution, transfer, or cash redemption of prize, or cash for any portion of prize not used, provided however that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value should the advertised prize become unavailable for any reason. Any and all activities related to the prize, without limitation, are at the Selected Contestant’s own risk and subject to whatever restrictions are imposed by the entities that govern activities. If the Selected Contestant does not want a portion of the prize, that portion is forfeited.
Selected Contestants will be notified by either phone or email at the sole discretion of Sponsor or Sponsor’s representative. Selected Contestants will be required to respond (as directed) to a phone and/or e-mail notification within 48 hours of attempted notification. The failure to respond timely to the notification may result in forfeiture of the prize; and, in such case, Sponsor may choose the next highest scoring Submission from among the remaining Qualified Submissions. Selected Contestants will be required to sign and return a Declaration of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (“Declaration”) and any other documents Sponsor or Sponsor’s representative may require within 48 hours of receipt of the Declaration. Failure to timely return a signed Declaration or other required documents or the return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in Prize forfeiture. Federal and state income taxes may apply and are the sole responsibility of Selected Contestants; Selected Contestants may be issued an IRS Form 1099 for the ARV of any awarded prize. All expenses not specifically stated as being included are excluded, and are the responsibility of the Selected Contestants.
Mandatory Tribute Disclosure. This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Tribute. You are providing your entry to Sponsor and not to Tribute. The information you provide will only be used for administering this Contest and for marketing purposes in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy, located at https://1906.shop/policies/privacy-policy. Your entry constitutes a full release of Tribute with respect to any claims you may have arising out of participation in this Contest.
Additional Entry Terms:
- All content must be original and created by the person submitting the entry.
- Do not submit any content you do not own or for which you do not have express permission from the owner.
- Do not use images of people from whom you do not have express, written permission to use. We reserve the right to request a copy of the written permission from any people appearing in your video.
- Your submission must not depict any cannabis consumption that violates the law or occurs in a location where such consumption is unlawful.
- Do not include images of you or others consuming in a public location or a private location where you do not have prior, written permission to consume.
- Please ensure that anyone appearing in the Submission is 21 year of age or older.
- Submissions that do not adhere to these rules, or that infringe on the intellectual property rights or publicity rights of any third party, may be disqualified at the Sponsor’s discretion.
By entering this contest, you affirm that your submissions are your own original work, free of any claims by other parties. This ensures compliance with legal standards and protects both participants and the sponsoring organization.
We are not responsible for any repercussions or outcomes as a result of your post. You understand that by participating in this Contest, your entry constitutes an admission of any of the activity that occurs therein. So please submit responsibly.
Respect for Existing Copyright: You must be the original author of everything in your submission or have permission to use copyright-protected material. While we want you to be creative, you need to be careful. If you're thinking about using existing music, video clips, photos, brands, or the like, odds are that someone else owns a copyright to that material and you will need to get the copyright owner's permission before using the material in your video. By entering, you warrant that your design does not infringe any third party’s rights, and that you have obtained all necessary permissions from all relevant third parties to submit the Submission. If, in the sole discretion of Sponsor, your Submission constitutes copyright infringement, the Submission will be disqualified.
You agree to indemnify Sponsor against any and all claims of infringement from any third party for any use by Sponsor of the design Submission. Contestants may not be: 1) represented under contract that would limit or impair Sponsor’s ability to use the design in any media form; 2) under a merchandising agreement; or 3) under any other contractual relationship, including but not limited to guild and/or union memberships, that may prohibit them from participating fully in this promotion, or from allowing Sponsor to use royalty-free, the Submission worldwide in all media in perpetuity.
Respect: Any Submission that is considered by Sponsor in its sole discretion to be offensive, obscene, libelous, inapposite to the reputation of Sponsor, or to portray Sponsor in a negative light, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate, or which otherwise does not comply with these Official Rules will be disqualified.
Permission: Entering a Submission constitutes Contestant’s consent (and the consent of any person’s appearing in the Submission) to give Sponsor a royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, create derivative works from, and display such submissions in whole or in part, on a worldwide basis, and to incorporate it into other works, in any form, media or technology, now known or later developed, including for promotional or marketing purposes. Contestants will not be paid for their Submissions or for granting Sponsor any of these rights.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- All contact information must be current, accurate, and valid.
- Email Submissions must be received no later than May 25, 2024 at 12:00AM EST according to Sponsor’s internal server time.
- No other methods of entry will be accepted other than those submitted according to the instructions here.

All Submissions received by the end of the Submission Period that are complete, meet the Submission Guidelines in Sponsor’s sole discretion, meet with Sponsor’s general standards and practice, and are otherwise qualified will be eligible to win (“Qualified Submissions”).
- Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Contestant it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or violating these Official Rules.
- Sponsor is not responsible for incomplete, late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, void, corrupted, garbled, illegible, or unintelligible Submissions and those Submissions are void and will not be accepted; nor is Sponsor responsible for any problems, bugs, or malfunctions Contestants may encounter when seeking to enter their Submissions.
- Proof of submitting any Submission is not considered proof of delivery to or receipt of such Submission.
CONDITIONS. Contest is subject to these Official Rules. By participating, Contestants agree: (i) to be bound by these complete Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor which shall be final and binding; and (ii) to waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Contest or these Official Rules, except where prohibited by law. By accepting a prize, Selected Contestant agrees to release Sponsor, including its parent, subsidiary, and affiliated entities together with the respective directors, employees, officers, licensees, licensors, and agents, and respective advertising and promotion entities and any person or entity associated with the production, judging, or administration of the Contest (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability, loss, or damage arising from or in connection with awarding, receipt, and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any prize-related activities. Releasees shall not be liable for: (i) telephone system, telephone or computer hardware, software, or other technical or computer malfunctions, lost connections, disconnections, delays, or transmission errors; (ii) data corruption, theft, destruction, or unauthorized access to or alteration of entry or other materials; (iii) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind, including death caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of a prize, or from participation in the Contest; or (iv) any printing, typographical, administrative, or technological errors in any materials associated with the Contest. Sponsor disclaims any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participating in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with this Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend the Contest, in its sole discretion, should it receive fewer than 10 entries, or receive no entries that have a judged score above 50 points, or due to circumstances beyond its control, including natural disasters. Submissions will not be returned and may be destroyed. The internal laws of the State of California will govern disputes regarding these Official Rules and/or this Contest. All cases and claims pertaining to this Contest must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in the City of San Francisco.
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest should a virus, bug, computer problem, unauthorized intervention, or other causes beyond Sponsor’s control, corrupt the administration, security, or proper play of the Contest. Sponsor may prohibit a Contestant from participating in the Contest or winning prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines such Contest is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest in any way by cheating, hacking, deception, or any other unfair playing practices of intending to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other players or Sponsor representatives. Use of automated entry devices or programs is prohibited. Any attempts to access the site, enter the Contest, or increase votes or views via a bot script, device, or brute-force attack will result in disqualification, including that IP address becoming ineligible for the entire Contest. Caution: any attempt to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be in violation of criminal and civil laws and will result in disqualification from participation in the Contest. Should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages (including attorney fees) to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution.
PUBLICITY. Sponsor reserves the right to use the name, likeness, and/or hometown name of any Contestant (whether a winner or not) for publicity purposes prior to, during, or after the Contest end date, in any media, and to use throughout the world, in perpetuity, without any compensation or prior review unless specifically prohibited by law. By participating, Contestants agree that Sponsor, its agents and representatives, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors are not responsible or liable for, and shall be released and held harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind in connection with or resulting from participation in the Contest, or acceptance of the prize, including without limitation, claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy. Should any Selected Contestant be unwilling or otherwise unable to provide permissions and/or releases, or otherwise cannot accept or receive the prize for any reason, the Selected Contestant with the next highest score will be chosen from the remaining Qualified Submissions until one who is able to meet all requirements can be selected.
WAIVER OF JURY TRIAL. Except as prohibited by applicable law and as a condition of participating in this Contest, each Contestant hereby irrevocably and perpetually waives any right s/he may have to a trial by jury in respect of any litigation directly or indirectly arising out of, under, or in connection with this Contest, any document or agreement entered into in connection herewith, any prize available in connection herewith, and any of the transactions contemplated hereby or thereby.

PRIVACY. All personal information collected by Sponsor will be used for administration of the Contest and in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy located at: https://1906.shop/policies/privacy-policy. Any communication or information transmitted to Sponsor by electronic mail or otherwise is and will be treated as non-confidential and nonproprietary. In addition, Contestants may receive email correspondence from, or on behalf of Sponsor, via electronic communication. All personal information will be held on servers located in the United States. Sponsor will use commercially reasonable efforts to comply with Federal CAN-SPAM guidelines, and Contestants may subsequently opt-out of receiving further emails by following the opt-out instructions contained in any email communications received.
